The tour begins in the city of Riohacha at 8 AM. The first stop is Manaure, a small fishing village famous for its natural and colorful salt flats. The extraction of its salt is around 70% of all Colombia. After a short technical stop in Uribia, you will arrive at Cabo de la Vela just in time for a delicious lunch on the beach. In the afternoon you will visit the tourist attractions of: Punta Arcoíris, Pilón de Azúcar, Playa Ojo de Agua and the Lighthouse, where you can enjoy one of its famous sunsets, before returning to your local lodging ready to try the experience of sleeping in a hammock by the beach (or in a room if you prefer more confort!).
On the second day of the tour, the journey to Punta Gallinas begins, passing through the Jepirachi Wind Farm, Bahia Portete and Bahia Honda until reaching the Taroa Dunes, a masterpiece of nature where, in addition to contemplating and bathing in the waters of Caribbean, you can rent a sandboarding table and slide down the dunes. Follow you'll visit to the emblematic Punta Gallinas Lighthouse (the northern most point of Colombia and all South America) for another beautiful sunset before reaching the local lodging of the night. Be ready to see the full Milky way as soon as the power generator will be switched off!
The last day is the return trip, leaving at 8 am to be able to start the route again until reaching Uribia (Indigenous Capital of Colombia) for one last lunch and a quick stop to the colorful main plaza full of handcrafts made by the Wayuu. Arrival time to the city of Riohacha is around 4 pm approx.

In the afternoon a "Tarde de Rancheria" awaits you; a cultural activity with a Wayuu family that will show you a glimpse of their ancestral culture, traditions and how they live a day to day life.
The last day is the return trip, leaving at 8 am to be able to start the route again until reaching Uribia (Indigenous Capital of Colombia) for one last lunch and a quick stop to the colorful main plaza full of handcrafts made by the Wayuu. After breakfast the proper journey into the Alta Guajira region begin stopping by few remarkable viewpoints and a break for lunch in Bahía Honda, until reaching the remote town of Nazareth where the local guides will be waiting for you by the office of La Macuira National Park for a quick briefing about the walk of next day; they will give you some infos and explain the unusual vegetation that makes the park home of numerous species of birds and animals.
The day will start with an early breakfast followed by the meeting with the guide who will accompany you on the hike into the National Park until reaching the hidden and mystic dunes of Aleewolu'u. The trip is around 4 hours (round trip). Lunch in nazareth and then you'll be reaching Punta Gallinas just in time to enjoy the massive dunes of Taroa, such a beautiful and unique landscape (a masterpiece of nature!) before ending the day by the lighthouse (the actual northernmost point of South America), and a night full of stars in the rancheria.
