PROMOTE A SUSTAINABLE TOURISM
Sustainable tourism is a way of traveling that is based on the respect of the travelers towards the people and places visited by a deeper approach to the reality of the country and positive cultural exchange between both parties. Contributing to the economic development of an area is for example to choose accommodation in places managed by the community, consuming fair trade products, and visiting and collaborating in solidarity projects that are carried out there. For us it is a way of traveling that has a positive impact on both sides, the communities visited and the traveler itself.
BAN SINGLE-USE PLASTIC
Do we really want to pass on an Earth that is covered in plastic?
Plastic pollution is everywhere, in our air, soil, rivers, oceans, beaches, and even in our drinking water. We use plastic for many reasons. It’s hard to avoid because it’s inexpensive, lightweight, and most of all... it’s convenient. But, the convenience and the savings aren’t really convenient or inexpensive. We are just sticking future generations with the bill and a big mess to try to clean up. Our commitment is to ban single-use plastic in all our tours and try to produce the minimum amount of rubbish possible.

PuraGuajira Travel Agency is committed to respecting the following Colombian laws: Law 679 of 2001 (ESCNNA Prevention), Law 63 of 1986 (Protection of Cultural Property), Law 1185 of 2008 (Protection of Cultural Heritage), Law 17 of 1981 (Protection of Fauna and Flora), Law 1333 of 2009 (Environmental Sanctions) and Law 376 of 2009 (Prevention of consumption of tobacco, alcohol and other psychoactive substances in minors). We fully reject any misconduct from our clients or from our associates during our tours.
